What is Web Accessibility?

Web accessibility means designing your website so that people with disabilities can use it.

We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard, which is the most widely accepted benchmark for web accessibility worldwide.

It covers a wide range of recommendations for making web content more accessible to people with various disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

Only 4.1%

of websites worldwide meet basic accessibility guidelines, and it’s getting worse.

The state of accessibility on the web

According to the web accessibility non-profit WebAIM, 95.9% of websites have WCAG AA failures, with an average of 56.1 accessibility issues detected per homepage.

These numbers only relate to errors that can be detected by automated software. In reality, many issues can only be found through manual testing, so the real number of websites meeting the WCAG AA standard is much lower than 4%.
